| What You Need To Know"The Food Pantry" is an ecumenical, non-profit organization that provides help to the unemployed, the underemployed, to elderly people on fixed incomes, and single parents on a weekly or monthly basis. In order to get support from the food pantry there are certain procedures a prospective client will need to follow. Call the Food Pantry during operating hours to make an appointment. Bring the following items with you to the Food Pantry at your appointment time: photo ID/valid drivers license proof of income/payroll voucher proof of residency in Henry County (electric bill, lease) Social Security card - for all family members proof of supplemental income (alimony, WIC, social security) copy of application for food stamps, if already applied
You must apply for food stamps.
The client will be asked questions relating to their family members, employment, household income, and county of residence. The answers to these questions will determine to what extent you qualify for assistance. No one with a legitimate need is refused help. | |
